Care Bear: my little Sweet Potato

Caroline has made her next milestone: Rice Cereal and Fruit!! I try to make that horrible paste a little more fun by mixing it with yummy fruit and veggies. Caroline loves it! In fact, she loves it so much she spreads it all over her face!! Doesn't she look just like Chad? Make sure to check out her video at the bottom!

Georgia Peaches

The kids and I headed south last week while Chad was in Trinidad. I figured if I could make it past the car trip, the rest would be a piece of cake and MUCH more fun than staying in Cincinnati alone. So off we went and I will have to say, it could not have gone better! The kids didn't cry once and I survived all the stops by myself with no help! We spent one night in Atlanta with my cousin Heather, her husband Brandon, and her girls Addison and Ella. The next day Heather and I loaded all the kids in her step dad's minivan and headed further south to Thomasville to see our grandparents. Bill Bill and Birdie got to meet Caroline for the first time and visit with Will, Addison and Ella. It was a quick but great trip. In total we spent about 36 hours in T'ville before we packed up and returned to Atlanta for three days.

Thanks so much to Heather and Brandon for having us! Hopefully we will be invited back! Will only colored on the walls once, after all!

These are the pictures from Heather's camera in case you get confused about the captions! I couldn't figure out how to combine our slideshows...

Weekend of Partying!

We also celebrated Oliver Lyman's Christening last weekend. Angela and David had Oliver Christened on Sunday and a party at their house afterward for friends and family. Oliver and Caroline were born 10 days apart. Caroline is the cougar in this relationship ;) Here are some pics of future boyfriend and girlfriend, Caroline and Oli!

Happy Birthday Will!

I can't even believe I am posting pictures from Will's 2nd birthday already. Two years have come and gone so quickly. What an amazing little boy we've been blessed with. I have never encountered a more inquisitive and adventurous child in my life. His curiosity and desire to learn about everything are awesome. I think we have another scientist in the family!

Will's first party was celebrated at Aunt Renee and Uncle Chris's house on Mother's Day. We were also celebrating Kurt's graduation from UD. So it was a trifecta party! Will got some really cute toys even though he still wasn't interested in unwrapping them! His cake was a Curious George theme because that is Will's favorite right now. Ironic that Will loves CURIOUS George, right??!!

Speaking of curiosity... Will's determination to see everything got the better of him at his birthday party! He tried to climb a dirt mountain by himself and wound up getting stuck or "I tuck" as he would say! Check out the pictures of the family rescue mission!!

Is There Something On My Face?

Anyone who's watched Will in action knows that it only takes him an average of five seconds to find mischief wherever he may be. Well our backyard is currently in "transition" so of course, Will is enjoying the mud! He's quite the Dirt Dobber as my dad would say!

Brotherly Love!

Since we brought Caroline home, Will has been an exemplary big brother. He loves to shower her with kisses, cover her with her blanket, gently shove her pacifier in her mouth (or eyes!), and talk to her.

Will thinks he's still the baby of the household!! He'll always be my baby!

Tea Time

Lady Caroline!

Last week, we celebrated the arrival of four new babies in our neighborhood with morning tea! Our neighbor, Angela Lyman, hosted. We met two new neighbors, Ann and Laura. Of course the babies were all there as was Sir William! What a fun time!
Will takes a breather to enjoy juice and cookies!

A Southern Easter!!

For Spring Break we headed south to see friends and family. It was our first road trip as a family of four (five with Boo!) and I can't believe how well it went.  Will and Caroline were the perfect travelers.  We started our trip in Raleigh where we met Wyatt for the first time. We got to see Amanda and Jason's gorgeous house and Jim and Nina's fabulous new addition as well!  We had a great time.

The next day we stopped to see Aunt Lizzie at the market. She did an awesome job as usual.  We spent the remainder of the week hanging out with Liz, Chad, mom, dad, and all 5 dogs!!  Will got to go to the beach for the first time and he spent a lot of time jumping in and out of the pool!  Of course he lived up to his title "Captain Tornado" the whole week terrorizing Liz and Chad's house!  I am anxious for his curiosity to be stifled a bit!!
